Hello, I'm Erin Green, a visual artist, illustrator, and art educator. I graduated with a Bachelor of Design from Emily Carr University in 2008, where I now instruct courses in commercial, narrative, and digital illustration.
My work has been featured in SAD magazine's Green and Sex issues, Star God Press' Sammiches, and can be seen on album covers and book jackets. I have exhibited at several galleries, including the Helen Pitt Gallery, Dynamo Arts Association, the ACT Arts Centre, and Alternatives Gallery. I also took part in the 2021 Vancouver Mural Festival, painting a 8'x30' panel entitled, The Dream Garden.
I tend to explore themes of empowerment and transformation through surreal landscapes and women posed in isolation. I draw from the mid-century lexicon of simplified shapes, bold colours, and abstracted forms. Whether working in miniature or large-scale, my work is graphic and crisp while remaining delicate and gestural.
